Staying safe in Winter

Today's assembly was about staying safe in Winter. Children were reminded about the dangers of walking on rivers, ponds and lakes which had frozen over and we also spoke about how we can help someone if they have walked on to the ice and fallen into water; we would not walk on to the ice ourselves, call for help and ask the person to try floating on their back. Most importantly, we discussed safe ways to have fun in the cold weather.
