Phonics
This week in Phonics we have been reviewing the alternative sounds. To support this, we have been reading and writing words and sentences that include a range of alternative sounds.
Challenge
Write down the digraphs that you learnt in Reception.
Maths
The Year 1 children have been sorting objects based on their properties such as colour, shape, size and type. 🟡🔺📏 The children enjoyed explaining their choices and thinking carefully about why each object belonged in a particular group.
They have also been learning that there can sometimes be more than one way to sort the same objects. What fantastic mathematicians we have! 👏🏼✨
